Tips
for Online Advertising
1.
Be interactive. Allow your consumer to request
information, get pricing, register to win, etc. Static
information is good, but engaging the customer in some
way, and giving them an opportunity to take action
immediately is better.
2. Commit for the long-term. Web advertising is
more likely to reach a targeted rather than mass
audience. A consistent program will build top of mind
awareness with local web users, producing response over
time. You must be dedicated to advertising for 6 months
or more.
3. Follow up. The Internet is an immediate media.
You must be dedicated to following up with the leads you
get in a timely manner. And when you get a lead, your
sales job isn't over, it's just beginning. You still
need to close the sale.
4. Look for appropriate content to associate with. Building
a web site is fine, but using your resources to put your
logo and message with content that relates to your
products and services will often be more efficient.
5. Get started. The Internet is a dynamic media.
Don't wait until you have it all figured out because it
will probably soon change. Get started. just like the
rest of the web, you can always change based on your
results.
